Hectronic INDIA
Patience is a good guide
For the first time in 2000, Hectronic put his feelers out towards India. The company was outsourcing part of its software development to the subcontinent. The specialist for refuelling and parking systems was determined, however, to not limit its relationship with the country on software development, since the Indian market, with such potential, offers a phenomenal opportunity for an internationally operating company like Hectronic. Once the company explored the market and after a great dose of patience, the foundations were created to participate in different tenders for the first time. This was indeed not always easy but Hectronic finally succeeded thanks to their requisite perseverance.

Hemant Dahale, Managing Director Hectronic India
2005 was the year of the "big bang": Indian Oil, the largest mineral oil corporate group in India, ordered 5000 tank gauging systems for their filling stations. Now finally it became crystal clear that Hectronic was in one of the largest markets in the world. No sooner said than done. In the following years, Hectronic was able to expand its presence noticeably and has now a main office in Bangalore and subsidiaries in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. The team around Managing Director Hemant Dahale consists of more than 20 employees.
Both product areas, parking and refuelling, have seen considerable growth, even though the steps were sometimes smaller than originally anticipated. The decision making process in state run companies are often a labyrinth and may drag on for a while. It is obvious: Getting to know each other, starting to understand the other party’s thought processes and to learn about the culture simply takes time.

Hectronic Bangalore
Hectronic aims for a successive growth and all the signs are positive. The target is clear: The company wants to generate a quarter of all its foreign sales in the subcontinent. And fully aware of that fact, patience is definitely the main requirement.
