The PA Statistics module

Hectronic payment machines continuously collect data during their hours of operation. At least once a day, a report from the machine is sent to the central database using GSM/GPRS or (W)LAN interface containing financial and statistical data. Each status report which each individual machine sends is stored in the database.

Every payment is registered whether made with coins, cards or bank notes. Date, time and method of payment and amount is recorded in the electronic log books. This data can be manually downloaded from the machines at any time. With PA Communication this process is automated. The data collected is transferred by data transfer to a central database and stored there. This is available immediately for evaluation.

Statistics

The basis for evaluation of the payment machines is determined on the basis of location data or tariffs used. A definable evaluation period (e.g. a month) narrows down the evaluation. Now groups of machines can be compared in relation to performance and downtimes of the required service, emptying of money, lack of paper, full money cassette. Corresponding data material is presented both graphically and in tabular form.

Revenue can only be displayed however by comparing different tariffs with each other. Identical machines for a group or whole cities.

Via the tickets issued, occupancy statistics, occupancy ratio and length of stay can be evaluated statistically, in order to take steps if necessary, to promote short stays by changing tariffs within the range of hours.

PA Statistics is used for the allocation of monetary data over specific time periods and certain Hectronic machines can also be used additionally for optimisation of service calls and the management and/or re-organisation of tariff structures. All in all, a tool that pays for itself within a very short space of time.
