All the equipment (price display, car wash, petrol pump and of course level gauges) at petrol stations fitted with IFSF LON communicate via a joint digital bus. I.e. the user does not need to worry about interface compatibility. The LON topology used allows a star-shaped, bus-shaped or ring topology allowing greater flexibility. The Hectronic IFSF converter OPTILEVEL Controller LON is a “black box” which holds all the necessary functions. On the one hand this controls the probes, monitors the alarms, manages the tank tables, and on the other hand is the interface to the LON bus system.
The used LON cards correspond to the Echolon specification and guarantee therefore a good compatibility.
The system is based on standard PC technology, which allows a high MTBF (mean time between failure) and also permits continuous availability of spare parts. Other information: Hectronic is also a Technical Associate (TA) of IFSF (International Standard Forecourt Forum). Which means no less than we always have the state-of-the-art technology.
Structure
Four interfaces are fitted in the Controller LON converter. One for the connection to the LON bus and another to connect RS 232 with the supply and an RS 232 as a connection to the service PC and an interface for connecting a TKW remote display (at present this is not supported by IFSF LON).
Functions
All the prescribed functions of the IFSF LON specification are covered. Additionally the following options are already fitted.
- Tank table administration up to the maximum tank number.
- ´High“ level threshold value
- "High High“ level threshold value
- "Low" level threshold value
- "Low Low" level threshold value
- Water level threshold value
- Maximum volume
- Mean temperature
Compatibility
For existing equipment, the Controller LON can simply be used instead of the existing evaluation (HPC, HSC, etc.). The Controller 104M can also be easily converted to Controller LON without changing the housing or connections.
